Hello there, and happy Tuesday. How is your week so far? I hope amazing! I’m amidst my instagram takeover with Tribe Alive and today as part of our collaboration, I’ve contributed a special Weekly Finds: Tribe Alive Edition post to their blog which includes some of my favorite ethical brands, and my latest picks from them. In this day and age, there is no excuse for not being a conscious consumer and making responsible purchases. While style is an extension of who we are and a vehicle of self-expression, how we represent ourselves goes way deeper then our aesthetic. Style from the inside out begins with understanding the culture, processes, policies and practices of the brands we choose to invest in. That said, head on over to Tribe Alive to read a bit more about all this, and to shop the above finds!
Hello there and happy Monday! I hope your weekend was amazing. I’m super excited for the days ahead because this week I have partnered up with Tribe Alive on some exciting projects! For those of you who are just joining along, Tribe Alive is one of my most favorite ethical lifestyle brands, “utilizing its passion for fashion as a platform for social change that stands behind fair trade principles and practices social responsibility”. You can read more about the brand, who I featured here, here and here.
To kick things off, starting today I’ll be taking over Tribe Alive’s instagram page! I’m super honored that they asked me to come on board, and I’ll be sharing snaps over the next few days as I pop around the city. I can’t wait! Tomorrow, I will be contributing a special Weekly Finds: Tribe Alive Edition post featuring some of my other favorite ethical brands who are leading the way when it comes to conscious consumerism. There is so much goodness happening out there in the global marketplace, and there is no excuse not to take part in making responsible purchases! To finish off the week, Tribe Alive x YSS will be holding a contest for one lucky person who will be eligible to win one of their most amazing pieces of jewelry. This will kick off on May 14th so stay tuned and be sure to visit back for details.
In the meantime, follow along here to see what’s up! Have a fantastic week everyone!
Just over a month ago, Dina and I were in Palm Springs celebrating a babymoon before the little one arrives like said here. While it feels like yesterday that we were soaking up quality time in the place of our “I do’s”, it also feels like a lot has happened since. Five weeks is a long time in baby-making land. I’ve crossed over into my final trimester and we are now in what I’m deeming the home stretch situation. I am over the moon excited and cannot wait to meet this baby girl, and the other half of me is anxious for all the unknowns. Regardless, I’m super happy that we had one-on-one time to spend with each other, and am grateful for it! If you are expecting, I can’t recommend taking this type of trip enough. Whether it’s somewhere local, abroad, to the south, caribbean sea or beyond, these moments for us were sacred and we know will never be the same again. With that said, some (okay, maybe more than usual!) snaps from our lovely trip with a list of restaurants, and sightseeing destinations if you’re ever in the area (which you should be because it’s amaze!). A few others over on instagram too. Enjoy!

This Style The Bump feature post is dedicated to a recently published interview that Well Rounded NY did on me and my postpartum styling services! In this article, I break it down and discuss the impact of personal style through the postpartum period, what my style coaching services entail and how to empower yourself both emotionally and physically after such a dramatic life shift! Personal style is typically one of the behaviors that winds up suffering the most, as many don’t feel it is a priority to worry about “what to wear” when they have a newborn to tend to. Closets become neglected, and women rely on wearing the “same old thing” daily to be both comfortable and easy. Unfortunately this starts a downward spiral into compromised self-esteem. Many of my clients reach out to me when their baby is 6 months to 1-year-old, recognizing they have a closet full of either maternity clothes, items that don’t fit, or a pre-pregnancy wardrobe that hasn’t been updated in 2 years. Plus, many women are still not back to their ‘old body.’
I’ve worked with women in this predicament for some time, but now that I’m going through the experience myself, it has opened up a whole new relatable perspective. I’ve been sharing my styling tips and techniques along the way on Your Soul Style, but a personal session will give you the one-on-one support you need to come back to life, and become your best self in order to be a strong role model for your children. Together we discover what works on an individual basis, and this is where women start to become empowered by their own choices and feel confident in them.
