style the bump: 22 weeks

style the bump

This weeks Style The Bump post is all about investment pieces! Like this Hatch onesie which is on the more expensive side, but that I’ve been living in since the early days of pregnancy. It’s cashmere, it’s one size fits all, and it’s one of the most comfortable things I’ve ever bought. But that’s not even the best part. Hatch is designed to fit women pre, during and post pregnancy so while you may feel that each item is “expensive” for maternity-wear, it has longevity. I’ve had many women tell me they are going to scoop one up despite being pregnant. This onesie will fit differently sans bump, but just as cute nonetheless. It’s already been well worth the investment. I found a very similar (more affordable) style at Zara for all the non-pregnant ladies out there too!

Women have recommended to me that maternity clothes are not items you want to spend money on, but I have a different perspective. Pregnancy is a time to feel your most beautiful, which can be difficult when your body is in flux. Some may feel vulnerable or uncomfortable within their changing shape so I believe you should pay extra attention to your self-expression. I’m not saying to break the bank and buy an entire new wardrobe. But there are shopping strategies to adhere to so you can have a high return rate on your investments. This Hatch onesie: case in point. You really can’t put a price on feeling good, starting from the indie out! Per usual, I’m always here as your trusty Stylist if you need some support.
