surf’s up

I don’t know about you mamas, but since having Vida, it can be a challenge finding time to cook a decent meal. While Dina has remained on the ball, for me it hasn’t been as easy. My multitasking skills continue to improve, but calling in a company like KitchenSurfing which gave us the night off was basically a dream come true.

Last week, a personal chef  (Josh) showed up at our apartment, food and cooking gear in hand. All we had to do was point him in the right direction, and he took over from there. Like dining at the chefs table, it was very cool to see what could be accomplished in our small NYC kitchen. It kind of felt like we were on an episode of Top Chef. Within 30 minutes we were not only eating a most delicious healthy meal, but the clean-up was done too. I can’t say enough about how epic it was to be able to focus on Vida during those valuable after-work hours, all the while getting to eat a home cooked meal. As new parents, we reserved the 6:00pm slot, and by 6:30 we were done eating, leaving us time to hang with the babe before the nighttime routine commenced! And the real kicker is that once she was asleep, there were no dishes waiting for us in the sink so we could hit the couch and spend time with each other. Heaven, really.

If you’re interested in signing up for KitchenSurfing, and having a professional chef come to your house/apt (and I highly reccomend you do), they are offering Your Soul Style readers the first meal free when using the code YOURSOULSTYLE. Life is super busy, we are all running a mile a minute and self-care is important. So take good care, and sign up!
